The activities of Peter Berger Schießsportbedarf happened to be founded in Schortens on March 20th, 2000. When retired from his duty with the German Air Force in 1990 the owner started an apprenticeship with the then well-known wholesale- and retail chain Kettner to become a tradesman himself specialised in hunting and target weapons and equipment, after he had finished a ten month job training period with a gunsmith. After having qualified for the tradesman job he worked with Kettner shop Oldenburg for further six years becoming responsible for the target rifle shooting aspects within Kettner. He was bound for all questions in respect of target shooting including catalogue preparation and sales programme. At the same time he led the sports department at Oldenburg branch and introduced a batch testing facility in the underground shooting range. This shop became a centre for target shooters for the north-west region. Its customers were even attracted from Great Britain, Netherlands and Sweden.
In September 1998 Peter Berger left Kettner to start a new carrier in owning a kiosk close to his home. Despite this drastic change in branch and area his customers from Kettner did not loosen their grip. After a short break he applied for a dealer's license which was granted in April 2000. Since then he is fully available for his various customers from all over the world.
